My Roots in Wakefield, Rhode Island

Growing up in South Kingstown and graduating from SKHS and URI, this community has always been home. After starting my career, I moved back to the Wakefield area when my daughter was a baby because I knew how vital a local support network is when raising a family. I am incredibly proud to bring my specialized expertise to Rhode Island to support the families and neighbors who make this community so special.

Professional Expertise Meets Motherhood

I hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and have spent the last five years in a pediatric outpatient clinical setting. Throughout my career, I have specialized in treating complex oral-motor feeding deficits, sensory feeding challenges, severe picky eating, late talkers, and motor speech disorders. My deepest understanding of this work didn't just come from textbooks or clinical rotations but instead came from when I became a mom myself.

I have two amazing kids: a 2 and a half year-old daughter and a 6-month-old son. Together, we have navigated our own stressful hurdles with tongue-ties and breastfeeding challenges. Because we started Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) confidently when she was 5 months old, my daughter made a seamless transition to table foods and naturally tapered her milk intake, allowing me to gently wean her from breastfeeding at 18 months. Today, her absolute favorite meal is Spicy Yo Po from JAYD Bun right here in Wakefield! I'm currently starting that same BLW journey with my son, and it is so much fun watching him discover food.

I know firsthand the anxiety of wondering if your baby is chewing safely, or if your toddler is hitting their developmental speech and language milestones. I know the exhaustion of grocery shopping, pumping while working outside the home, planning meals, and managing a busy household. Because I live this every day, I am intentional about offering advice that is realistic and customized to your lifestyle and family needs. Whether we are working on fostering a genuine love for food or helping your child learn to communicate, I am passionate about giving children the tools and skills they need to be successful.
